Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks a Web Developer/Webmaster to design, develop, and support the NOAA OMAO public site and intranet suite. You’ll ensure accessibility, security, and cross‑platform consistency while coordinating with content owners and stakeholders.

The role requires Drupal expertise, strong HTML/CSS/JS skills, and experience integrating databases and APIs within enterprise systems. On‑site work in Silver Spring, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development or webmaster experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, web dev, IT or related field.
• Hands-on with Drupal and HTML/CSS/JS; responsive design.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or Google Sites.
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility and web security.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as webmaster for the public site and intranets, guiding structure and day-to-day admin.
• Collaborate with offices, owners, and committees to prioritize web requirements.
• Provide web design, UI development, and content support across platforms.
• Design, build, and maintain OMAO public site using Drupal and modules.
• Develop Google intranets with clear navigation and access controls.
• Ensure responsive, accessible, and consistent web experiences.
• Integrate sites with SQL, APIs, and enterprise data sources.
• Create test plans, deployment schedules, and documentation.
• Perform accessibility testing and resolve issues across browsers.
• Provide technical support for public and intranet apps.
