Job summary

The University of Michigan Equity, Civil Rights & Title IX Office is seeking a Senior Web Designer/Administrator to maintain and enhance multiple WordPress sites, ensuring accessibility and security. You will shape content strategy and oversee design across ecrt.umich.edu, disability.umich.edu, pear.umich.edu, and an intranet site.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in web design, strong HTML/CSS, JavaScript, WCAG 2.1 AA, and experience with WordPress and Mailchimp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in web design/development or related field.
• 5+ years of web design experience, preferably in an educational setting.
• Portfolio of original work demonstrating proficiency in design and deployment of websites.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple WordPress sites, ensure accessibility and security.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain content for ECRT websites.
• Develop and implement a web content strategy across properties.
• Lead site redesigns and project management from discovery to launch.
• Produce monthly newsletters with Mailchimp integration.
• Use GA4 and other tools to measure performance and inform strategy.
