Job summary

LiquidXR in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the physical architecture of our wearable platform from concept to mass production.

You will prototype, validate, and refine deformable interconnects and integrated systems, delivering high‑quality hardware for next‑gen wearables and consumer electronics, working with cross‑functional teams across product, electrical, and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience with a strong product launch portfolio.
• Experience designing for wearable technology and miniaturized high-volume products is strongly preferred.
• Experience with design verification and validation.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
• Experience with thermoplastic elastomers and thin film processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical design for a wearable platform enabling diverse products.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate product designs and manufacturing processes.
• Create prototypes and manufacturable products using 3D CAD and rapid prototyping.
• Produce meticulous engineering documentation: 3D models, drawings, BOMs, test plans/reports.
• Apply first-principles thinking to troubleshoot technical challenges throughout development.
• Manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Collaborate with product, electrical, firmware, software, and external partners for integration.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and manufacturing processes to keep products cutting edge.
