The Jonus Group in California is seeking an experienced Indemnity Claims Examiner - Workers' Compensation to manage a busy caseload and ensure compliance with state regulations.

You will investigate claims, coordinate with medical providers and attorneys, monitor reserves, and handle litigated files. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills and a dedicated service mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in California workers' compensation claims handling.
• SIP certification is a significant advantage but not required; must obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Experience with public entities or school districts is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation regulations and claims practices.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation indemnity claims from initial reporting through closure.
• Investigate claims and gather necessary documentation to determine compensability.
• Coordinate with medical providers, legal counsel, employers, and injured workers throughout the claims process.
• Monitor claim reserves, payments, and ongoing claim activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Handle litigated files and collaborate with defense counsel as needed.
• Ensure adherence to California workers' compensation laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Provide claim status updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
