Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years related experience & training (5 years without a SIP certificate).
• Knowledge of California Labor Code as it relates to workers' compensation.
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a three-point contact on all new losses within 24 hours of receipt.
• Gather evidence for compensability, disability payments, and expenses.
• Maintain an up-to-date plan of action for indemnity claims.
• Partner with medical case manager to maximize return-to-work potential.
• Initiate referral to SIU for cases with suspected fraud.
• Pursue subrogation and apportionment where applicable.
• Ensure claim file compliance with statutes and contracts.
• Review vocational rehabilitation plans and medical bills for payment.
• Respond to inquiries within specified deadlines.
