Job summary

King's Insurance Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner for a contract-to-hire role supporting our New England office. The ideal candidate will have deep MA WC claims knowledge and be able to manage complex files with minimal supervision from MA, NH, or CT.

The role offers a flexible remote work environment. Responsibilities include handling 90-100 claims, managing reserves, and coordinating with multiple parties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience in carrier or TPA environments.
• Seasoned examiner capable of independently managing complex lost-time, indemnity, and litigated claims.
• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts and Connecticut workers’ compensation laws and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 90-100 workers’ compensation claims from assignment to resolution.
• Handle claims for a large national account with accurate reserves and documentation.
• Investigate compensability, causation, medical treatment, disability, and return-to-work considerations.
• Evaluate exposure and adjust reserves as needed.
• Coordinate with employers, injured employees, medical providers, attorneys, and others.
