Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Workers' Compensation with jurisdiction knowledge of MD and NJ. The role offers hybrid work with 2 days in office and 3 days remote for those within 25 miles of Sedgwick offices; fully remote outside that radius.

The ideal candidate will analyze and adjudicate complex claims, negotiate settlements, and maintain timely communication with clients and claimants while supporting Sedgwick’s culture and service standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensing: Home state preferred.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: MD and NJ.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and benefits.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity to claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to excess carriers and directions to follow.
