Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Engineering Specialist to join our Waterway Structures team on a fully remote basis. You will lead design and construction oversight for large, complex waterway projects near or on water, guiding capital improvement programs from concept through bid.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, PE license, 15+ years of water engineering experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and analysis tools such as SAP2000 or STAAD.Pro.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• 15+ years of water engineering experience required.
• PE license required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and SAP2000/STAAD.Pro.

Responsibilities

• Scope capital projects from concept through construction.
• Forecast timelines and manage multiple projects.
• Oversee design/bidding of capital improvement projects.
• Mentor engineer staff and provide design oversight.
• Prepare construction specs, bid documents, and cost estimates.
• Check final design drafts for complex projects.
• Exhibit concrete, steel, wood, and masonry design skills.
