Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager in California to lead design and technical delivery of civil infrastructure projects from planning through construction. The role demands coordination of multi-disciplinary teams, strong client-facing capabilities, and proactive proposal involvement.

Ideal candidates will have a California PE, 10+ years in water-related projects, and experience with GIS, AutoCAD, Civil3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or hydraulic engineering with a water resources focus.
• PE Registration in California or ability to obtain CA registration within 1 year.
• 10+ years in water/wastewater, stormwater planning, design, and construction as lead designer or PM.
• Strong leadership experience and ability to mentor teams.
• Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, Civil3D.
• Experience with levee design (preferred).
• Stormwater master planning experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and technical development of water/wastewater, stormwater infrastructure projects through design to construction.
• Deliver projects within budgets and schedules per client expectations.
• Prepare construction documents, plans, and specs.
• Prepare project cost estimates and schedules.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and direct design/technical development of infrastructure projects within the areas of water/wastewater, stormwater, including supply, storage, collection and distribution, treatment, and pumping/conveyance systems from the planning and design phases through construction completion
• Delivery of projects to meet established budgets and delivery schedules to the performance expectations of the client
• Prepare construction documents, including plans and specifications
• Prepare project cost estimates and schedules
• Provide overall supervision and technical direction and expertise to a team of design engineers and technical staff
• Coordinate multi-disciplined engineering teams
• Support or lead the preparation and development of proposals and strategic client pursuits
• Serve as a primary client‑facing leader, strengthen relationships, understand client objectives, and identify opportunities
• Attend meetings with municipal officials, other engineers, developers, permitting agencies, and contractors
• Actively participate in relevant professional organizations

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering field with a focus in water resources, environmental, or hydraulic engineering
• PE Registration in California, or ability to obtain CA registration within 1 yr
• 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater, stormwater planning, design, and construction administration as a lead design engineer or project manager
• Strong team leadership experience or proven potential, including managing project delivery expectations, prioritization of tasks, and mentoring
• Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil3D
• Experience with levee design efforts, including evaluation, analysis, and preparation of engineering design documents is preferred
• Stormwater system design projects, including drainage infrastructure, and comprehensive stormwater master planning are preferred
