Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead large multi-discipline projects, typically over $2 million in fee, directing planning, design, and execution while growing client relationships. You will collaborate with regional managers on pursuits, supervise project teams, mentor junior PMs, and ensure schedule, scope and budget compliance through QA/QC standards.

• 15+ years engineering experience with 8+ years PM experience.
• Proven project leadership, project management (staffing, schedule, scope compliance, and budget), and mentorship skills
• Strong industry relationships
• PMP certification

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain client relations and be involved with marketing, acquiring new business and performing contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with Area Water Business Group Manager and Water Client Development Manager on pursuits and leading teams.
• Independently manage detailed designs, plans, specs and estimates for water/wastewater facilities.
• Plan, direct and monitor large multidisciplinary projects with high technical complexity (> $2M).
• Supervise large project staffs and mentor junior PMs.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with stakeholders.
• Serve as Principal or Technical Manager and QA/QC Reviewer as appropriate.
• Coordinate staffing and workload to meet schedules.
• Work with Finance and Department leaders for project reviews.
• Implement and direct QA/QC procedures.
