Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager Engineering in California to lead municipal water/wastewater projects, direct cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time delivery for complex programs. The role emphasizes client relations and strategic project execution, with a focus on QA/QC and mentorship.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10 years of experience, and a proven record in project management for water infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
10 years related experience.
Minimum 5 years project management experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or recognized by licensing board.

Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of strategies/initiatives for municipal water/wastewater clients.
Be client facing as this role will be a key conduit between the client and HDR design teams.
Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
Actively participate in industry associations and support such organizations.
Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of multidiscipline projects with high technical complexity.
Supervise large project staffs and mentor less-experienced engineers and project managers.
Coordinate staffing and workload through project development to complete documents on schedule.
Implement QA/QC procedures and train personnel as established by strategic plans.
