Job summary

STV seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for its Water and Wastewater practice in Louisville or Lexington, KY. You will lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects while growing the practice statewide.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, support proposals, and work closely with clients to deliver practical solutions. PE licensed engineers with strong communication and leadership skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 12 years of water and wastewater engineering experience including PM, design, and construction in a consulting environment.
• PE license required, with Kentucky registration or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong background in municipal water/wastewater planning, design, bidding, and construction administration.
• Ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing and quality.
• Experience developing proposals and maintaining client relationships.
• Experience mentoring technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, bidding, and construction administration of water and wastewater projects.
• Lead projects involving water distribution, wastewater collection, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight of analyses, system modeling, design calculations, reports, plans, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as primary client contact and participate in meetings and site visits.
• Coordinate permitting with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project financials and manage changes to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Build and maintain client relationships across Kentucky and identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and client presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support professional development of staff.
