Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-dollar, complex water and wastewater projects in the Columbus area. The role oversees scope, schedule, budget, client relationships, and risk management, with mentorship to project teams and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate will drive business development, develop project plans, and coordinate with subconsultants to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with JMT goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
• Professional Engineer License (PE).
• 15+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater project design and management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills in client-facing environments.
• Strong presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-dollar, complex projects to ensure quality, schedule, and budget.
• Identify leads and growth opportunities; assist marketing and win strategies.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and quality management plans.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and internal teams; manage scope, risks, and changes.
• Prepare progress reports and review invoices; present status to clients and leadership.
• Mentor and coach project teams; support Section Heads and Practice Leaders with proposals.
