Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. seeks an accomplished water/wastewater process engineer to lead municipal drinking water and wastewater projects and solve operational problems.

The role requires strong process fundamentals, practical plant experience, and an understanding of regulatory requirements to deliver reliable facilities. The successful candidate will mentor staff, evaluate alternatives, and collaborate with project teams to ensure design quality and long-term performance across projects in

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or similar degree required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred or able to obtain reciprocity in Indiana or Kentucky.
• Minimum 10 years of municipal water/wastewater experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for municipal drinking water and wastewater projects from planning through startup.
• Develop and evaluate treatment alternatives using hydraulics, chemistry, and regulatory principles.
• Prepare design criteria, calculations, P&IDs, specifications, and cost opinions.
• Mentor engineers and staff in process fundamentals and design quality.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to deliver integrated facilities.
• Provide technical leadership during construction, commissioning, and optimization.
