Job summary

Brazos River Authority seeks a Senior Plant Operator to safely operate and maintain water or wastewater plants at the Temple/Belton Facility. You will monitor permits, adjust process controls, collect samples, and ensure plant efficiency while maintaining safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include training junior staff, performing preventative maintenance, managing chemicals and equipment, and supporting budget constraints to deliver reliable water services for BRA customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience or equivalent education.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and good driving record.
• Class B Water and/or Waste Water License.
• Hazmat training within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain water or wastewater treatment plants and ensure permit compliance.
• Monitor process controls, collect samples, and adjust chemical dosages and plant operations as needed.
• Train and mentor less experienced operators and support preventative maintenance.
