Brazos River Authority in Hutto, Texas, seeks a Plant Maintenance Technician - Lead to oversee maintenance of water and wastewater facilities, supervise junior staff, and perform preventative and corrective work on pumps, motors, blowers, plumbing, and building systems.

The role requires six years of experience, Class D water and Class C wastewater certifications, a valid Class C driver’s license, Hazmat training within six months of hire, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Six years' experience in plant maintenance or equivalent
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and good driving record
• Class D Water and/or Class C Wastewater Certification
• Must obtain a Class C Water and/or C Wastewater Certification within six months of hire
• Approved Hazmat training within six months of hire

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of BRA water and/or wastewater facilities, equipment, projects and grounds
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, blowers, and plumbing
• Monitor plant functions and diagnose malfunctions or breakdowns
• Fabricate equipment and assist with training and mentoring staff
• Communicate crew leader's instructions and perform administrative tasks as needed
• Perform general building and grounds maintenance and painting as required
