Job summary

The City of Lewisville seeks a skilled water/wastewater operator to lead and maintain treatment facilities, ensuring safe and compliant operations. The role covers SCADA monitoring, recordkeeping, and field/lab tasks, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Applicants must have a Class B and Class C TCEQ certificates or be able to obtain them within one year and pass background checks. Night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of water or wastewater treatment or related experience.
• Class B and Class C Texas Commission on Environmental Quality certificates within one year.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead, operate, and monitor all processing equipment and machinery.
• Initiate changes in operation based on monitoring and calculations.
• Oversee routine maintenance of buildings, equipment, pumps, and drive units.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
