Job summary

Three Notch Group is seeking an Engineer IV to serve as a senior technical and client leader for the Utility Practice in Asheville or Charlotte, NC. You will build trusted relationships with North Carolina utility clients and lead the delivery of high-quality, constructible water and wastewater engineering documents.

The ideal candidate is a North Carolina-registered Professional Engineer with strong technical leadership, project management, client service, and staff mentorship capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• North Carolina PE license is required.
• Experience in water/wastewater design and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for utility clients and build long-term relationships.
• Lead delivery of constructable water and wastewater documents.
• Support NC business development through client meetings and proposals.
• Mentor engineers and staff toward licensure and leadership roles.
• Oversee project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
