Job summary

Ilocatum in Parsippany, NJ is seeking a senior Water and Wastewater Design Engineer to lead design of treatment plants and pump stations. Hybrid work arrangement available in Parsippany or Sparta, NJ, with strong focus on regulatory compliance and technical leadership.

The role requires a PE license or progression toward one, 5–10 years’ hands-on design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and technical writing. You will mentor junior engineers and work on permits and project deliverables.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 5–10 years of hands-on water and wastewater design.
• PE license, or on track within 6 to 12 months.
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and permitting, plus EPA, CWA, and SDWA.
• AutoCAD and strong technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Design treatment facilities, pump stations, storage, and distribution and collection systems.
• Run hydraulic, process, and environmental feasibility studies.
• Produce calculations, reports, specs, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Lead permitting: NJPDES, Treatment Works Approvals, and BWSE.
• Mentor junior engineers on design and regulatory work.
