Job summary

STV is seeking a Construction Manager in the Atlanta, GA area to support the Water/Wastewater group and help grow the practice statewide. You will mentor junior staff, maintain client relationships, and contribute to major W/WW projects, all while promoting a culture of work-life balance.

Responsibilities include on-site observations, review of schedules and payments, field problem solving, and coordination with owners, engineers, and contractors to keep work compliant and on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in W/WW facility construction or construction inspection.
• Ability to adapt to sudden schedule changes.
• Ability to independently determine methods and procedures.
• Strong judgment in evaluating criteria and solving problems.
• Occasional supervision of other personnel on projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily on-site observations to confirm work progress per contract documents.
• Review project schedules and construction sequencing proposals.
• Coordinate scheduling to minimize conflicts with Owner’s activities.
• Review plans and specifications affecting assigned projects.
• Participate in meetings to discuss construction details with stakeholders.
• Review contractor payment applications for accuracy and advise Owner.
• May perform field measurements and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate materials testing and identify on-site problems.
• Observe field tests and comment to Owner and Engineer.
• Maintain daily diary and field records; document changes.
