Job summary

Baxter & Woodman Inc. seeks a Senior Water Utility Engineer to lead hydraulic modeling, master planning, and design for municipal water projects. The role focuses on delivering high-quality outcomes through collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The position requires oversight of budgets and schedules, client interaction, and the preparation of plans and specifications for construction. Hybrid work in IL is supported.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Illinois P.E. license (or reciprocity) required or obtainable.
• Minimum 6+ years in potable water system analysis and design.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydraulic models of water distribution systems.
• Lead master planning and design of potable water facilities.
• Coordinate with internal partners and clients for project success.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Prepare plans and specifications for construction and represent at meetings.
• Lead project teams and develop proposals to win work.
