Job summary

The City of Baltimore seeks a Water Treatment Technician III to operate filters, chlorinators, and other equipment at the Montebello Filtration Plant. This role includes leading lower-level technicians, rotating shifts, and adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of water treatment processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to read gauges and meters.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Ability to train others.
• Ability to perform simple laboratory tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate filters, chlorinators, dry chemical feeders and other equipment.
• Provide work direction to lower-level technicians.
• Work rotating shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Wear respiratory protection and follow chemical safety protocols.
