Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience operating water filters and mechanical/electrical equipment in a water treatment plant or completion of the City's Operations Technician I apprenticeship.
• Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial drivers license or equivalent and eligible to obtain Baltimore City drivers permit.
• Provisional licenses or learner permits are not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate filters, chlorinators, dry chemical feeders and other equipment.
• Maintain records and read gauges, meters, and perform simple laboratory tests.
