Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an engineering professional to influence water chemistry and treatment across a global fleet of data centers.

You will coordinate with design, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to define, design, and document water treatment features, using prescriptive and performance-based approaches. The role emphasizes detailed design of water treatment and sustainability systems, collaboration with AHJs, and ensuring facilities protect people and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience in commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Driving improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization.
• Coordinate with third party design vendors to review concept designs and designs in progress to ensure they meet established design standards, local code requirements, and any other requirements of the AHJs.
• Provide high quality water treatment advice on a wide variety of projects globally while working with global Mechanical engineering teams to achieve alignment of water treatment systems objectives.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to answer requests for information and value engineering queries.
• Be responsible for code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation and assessment, testing, inspections, and submittal review. Meet with AHJs as needed to ensure approval of water treatement features.
• This position will require up to 25% travel.
