Mead & Hunt, established in 1900, is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead our dams, hydropower, and water resources team. You will guide hydraulic design, manage projects, review plans, and collaborate with clients.

The successful candidate will have ABET-degree, 8+ years, PE license with CA reciprocity within 12 months, strong communication, and mentoring skills. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in civil/structural engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience.
• PE license in any state with CA licensure within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic structures and dam-related design projects.
• Serve as project manager for scope, schedule and budget.
• Oversee plans, calculations, specs, and bid documents for bidding/construction.
• Review and apply professional seals to final plans, specs, and reports.
• Perform condition assessments of existing structures.
• Conduct field inspections to assess conditions.
• Mentor junior staff and provide QA/QC.
