Job summary

STV is seeking a highly experienced Water Resource Discipline Lead to join our growing team in New Jersey. The successful candidate will build and lead the PA/NJ Water Resources group, guide design management, and oversee hydrologic/hydraulic studies for roadway and transportation projects across NJ.

With 15+ years in water resources engineering, NJ DOT/TA experience, and an active NJ PE license, you will mentor staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and

Qualifications

• 15+ years of water resources engineering experience focused on NJDOT/NJTA projects.
• NJ PE license required or ability to obtain licensure in NJ within 6 months via reciprocity.
• Proficiency with drainage and stormwater modeling tools; OpenRoads experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the PA/NJ Water Resources team including design management and staff development.
• Lead hydrologic/hydraulic studies, drainage, stormwater management, and erosion/sediment control for road/transportation projects with regulatory compliance.
• Oversee environmental permits and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff; ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Manage client communications, schedules, and milestones.
