Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager to join our Seattle, WA team.

You will lead multidisciplinary projects in river engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, and flood protection, while mentoring engineers in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will manage complex scopes, develop technical documentation, and drive business development to expand our regional water resources portfolio.

Qualifications

BS in civil engineering or water resources related field; MS preferred.
15+ years as a civil engineer with hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design for large river/coastal projects.
10+ years managing large civil projects in the Pacific Northwest; multi-disciplinary leadership.
Active PE in Washington or ability to licensure within agreed date.
Ability to lead multi-discipline teams to produce drawings, calculations, specs, and estimates.
Significant business development experience: identifying opportunities and leading capture efforts.
Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on project management and oversight to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
Lead development of engineering calculation packages and clear technical documentation.
Foster and expand local client relationships and act as technical lead for hydrologic/hydraulic analyses.
Solve complex river engineering challenges using standard methods or new solutions.
Ensure QA/QC and conduct technical reviews to maintain project quality.
Prepare constructible contract documents including plans, specs, and reports.
Collaborate with business development to pursue new opportunities aligned with the firm’s water focus.
