Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a technically driven Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our infrastructure group. This role focuses on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design and project leadership across the U.S., with emphasis on New England/East Coast projects.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, mentor junior engineers, contribute to business development, and collaborate with public agencies.

Qualifications

• PE license and 8+ years municipal infrastructure experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing water/wastewater and drainage projects for municipal/state agencies.
• Strong design and construction documentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% and work hybrid/remote.
• Proven leadership and mentorship of junior engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of PFAS treatment and water/wastewater systems.
• Manage design-build and design-bid-build municipal projects.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with public agencies and utilities.
• Prepare reports, memos, and construction documentation.
• Support business development and client presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist recruitment.
• Ensure safety, quality, and standards compliance.
• Engage in conferences and associations.
