Job summary

AMT is seeking a Project Manager / Senior Water Resources Engineer with 7+ years of experience for our Towson, MD office. The role leads water resources tasks for transportation projects for Maryland and Virginia DOT and municipalities, with opportunity to advance into a leadership position.

The position offers a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation and benefits, relocation support, and collaboration across AMT offices on multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources is required.
• 7+ years of water resources experience including plan and report production.
• Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience with commonly used software.
• Maryland or Virginia PE license required; NC/SC licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete calculations, reports, and plans for transportation projects (stormwater, drainage, culverts, open channels, bridges).
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic analyses and reporting.
• Obtain permit approvals from state/local agencies.
• Assist in preparing engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
• Collaborate with a transportation design team and client contacts.
• Provide QA/QC reviews per AMT procedures.
