Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Water Resources team in Columbus, OH. This role will lead advanced water resources design for infrastructure projects, focusing on drainage for transportation clients and green stormwater infrastructure in urban areas.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating design work, acting as a technical advisor, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE license in Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 10–12+ years of related experience in water resources design.

Responsibilities

• Lead water resources design for multiple concurrent projects.
• Coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for projects of moderate scope.
• Serve as technical advisor for drainage, stormwater, green infrastructure, and permitting.
• Develop design parameters, alternatives, and risk assessments.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and review calculations for quality.
