Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead water resources design for infrastructure projects across the region, with emphasis on drainage design for transportation clients and green stormwater infrastructure in urban areas.

The role includes mentoring engineers, coordinating with clients and agencies, and delivering quality designs on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program
• PE license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• 10–12+ years of related experience
• Experience designing green stormwater infrastructure in urban environments
• Two-dimensional modeling experience using HEC-RAS, SWMM, or comparable model
• CFM, ENV SP, or related certification is a plus

Responsabilités

• Lead water resources design for multiple concurrent projects and tasks
• Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for a major project
• Serve as a technical advisor for drainage, stormwater management, green infrastructure, and related analyses
• Identify watersheds and drainage patterns; perform hydrologic calculations
• Design stormwater infrastructure and related improvements
• Lead modeling with HEC-RAS, SWMM, and similar tools
• Prepare written reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates
• Mentor engineers and review project deliverables
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and consultants
• Support scope development and scheduling for projects
• Provide progress and risk reporting to project managers
• Lead cross-disciplinary design reviews and constructability checks
• Participate in client meetings and presentations
