Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams on stormwater, watershed restoration, and climate-resilient infrastructure projects.

You will drive planning, design, permitting, and construction-phase support, with emphasis on nature-based solutions and community-focused outcomes. The role requires a PE license (WI preferred) and 8+ years of related experience, with strong skills in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, regulatory

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible consulting experience in water resources or related field
  • Experience managing planning, design, permitting, and construction projects for diverse clients
  • Strong project management, budgeting, scheduling, QA/QC, and team coordination
  • Experience leading design/construction for green stormwater infrastructure and nature-based solutions
  • Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and water quality evaluation
  • Knowledge of permitting/regulatory frameworks (NPDES/MS4, Clean Water Act)
  • Proven ability to engage clients, lead outreach, and communicate to diverse audiences
  • Experience mentoring staff and contributing to proposals and business development

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver stormwater, watershed, ecological restoration, and climate resilience projects
  • Serve as PM or technical lead for planning through construction phases
  • Oversee hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and modeling
  • Prepare and review design docs, memos, permits, and cost estimates
  • Manage environmental permitting and agency coordination
  • Support funding strategies, grants, and stakeholder engagement
  • Lead client communications, presentations, and public meetings
  • Provide mentorship and quality reviews to staff
  • Support business development and client strategy
