Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Construction Manager/Resident Engineer to lead CM teams on water resources projects across California and the West Coast. The role requires on-site leadership, constructability reviews, and coordination with Client, Designer, Contractor, and Regulators.

Location is flexible with Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Seattle project sites. Expect on-site work full-time or as project dictates.

Qualifications

• 15-25 years or more of previous related professional experience.
• Experience with Construction Management of water resources projects on the West Coast.
• Strong leadership and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead CM teams on large water-related construction projects with high costs and complex scope.
• Coordinate Resident Engineering, QA/QC, safety, schedule, cost analysis, and documentation.
• Be on-site full-time during project execution or as required by the client.
• Develop and implement Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety Plans.
• Communicate with Client, Designer, Contractor and Regulators to resolve issues and coordinate needs.
• Mentor and guide staff to develop CM skills and support internal training.
