Job summary

GFT seeks a Senior Construction Manager/Resident Engineer to lead field CM teams on water resources projects across California and the West Coast, including dams, pipelines, and treatment facilities. Location flexibility with Irvine, LA, Sacramento, and Seattle offices.

You will manage CM teams, ensure safety and quality standards, coordinate with clients and regulators, and support design teams with constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, team leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work remotely and independently while maintaining productivity and motivation.
• Willingness to travel to jobsites and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Construction Manager or Resident Engineer on large water-related projects up to $100M+.
• Manage CM teams including staff and sub-consultants across Resident Engineering, QA, inspection, field surveying and cost/schedule analysis.
• Develop and implement Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Health and Safety Plans as required.
• Coordinate with Client, Designer, Contractor and Regulators to resolve issues and expedite progress.
• Mentor and guide staff, lead additional CM services such as risk management and dispute resolution.
• Support design teams with constructability reviews and input to cost estimates and schedules.
