Job summary

GFT, a leading AEC firm, seeks a Senior Project Manager, Water to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Southern California. The role supports projects across dams, treatment, stormwater, and conveyance while operating in a hybrid work model with offices in Los Angeles, Irvine, Chino Hills, Ontario, Long Beach, Santa Ana, or San Diego.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of water/wastewater PM experience, a CA PE, and a track record delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• B.S. in civil engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
• 15+ years managing substantial water/wastewater projects from conception to completion.
• Strong project management skills and a proven track record delivering on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, budgets, and client agreements.
• Lead design and technical aspects of projects including engineering design, calculations, reports, permitting, and client presentations.
• Write responses to RFQs and solicitations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, public agencies, and community leaders.
• Coordinate and monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules.
• Direct and manage project implementation with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee construction phases to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Mentor staff and lead development of other PMs.
