Job summary

GFT seeks a Senior Construction Manager/Resident Engineer to lead CM teams in field execution of water resources projects on the West Coast, including dams, spillways, levees, pipelines and treatment facilities. Location flexible with Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento and Seattle offices to support California or West Coast water projects.

You will be on-site full-time during execution, developing QC/QA and Health & Safety plans, and coordinating with clients, designers, regulators, and contractors

Qualifications

• 15-25 years or more of previous related professional experience.
• Experience with Construction Management of water resources projects on the West Coast (California or other West Coast agencies) including large infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead Construction Manager or Resident Engineer on large water-related projects costing up to $100M+.
• Manage CM teams including staff and sub-consultants across Resident Engineering, QA/QC, construction inspection, cost and schedule analysis.
• Develop and implement Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Health and Safety Plans.
• Coordinate with Client, Designer, Contractor and Regulators to resolve construction-related issues.
• Mentor and guide GFT staff to develop CM skills and support training.
• Support design teams with feasibility reviews, constructability reviews, and cost estimates.
