Job summary

Kleinfelder seeks a Senior Water Operator to oversee daily water treatment and distribution in the Midland-Odessa, TX area. You will lead plant operations, monitor quality, and coordinate maintenance to ensure reliable water service.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, data reporting, and collaboration with agencies to pass inspections. A strong operations background and licensure readiness are required for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional water treatment training preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in water treatment and distribution operations.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and systems.
• Valid Class C Water Operator License preferred; Class D acceptable if obtainable within a year.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise operations of water treatment facilities and distribution systems.
• Monitor water quality parameters and conduct regular testing to ensure safety and quality.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits.
• Respond to emergencies to minimize interruptions and maintain continuous water supply.
• Maintain records and reports including production data, maintenance logs, and regulatory docs.
