Job summary

City of Odessa, Texas is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the Water Treatment Plant and related facilities to ensure safe potable water delivery.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 5 years' plant operation experience with at least 1 year in supervision, a Class A Surface Water License (or ability to obtain), and knowledge of SCADA systems and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating a surface water treatment plant with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and Class A Surface Water License (TCEQ), or ability to obtain within negotiating period.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall daily supervision of plant personnel and direct supervision to the chief operator to ensure complete and efficient operation of plant processes.
• Identify maintenance needs and coordinate with management to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Plan and review operational and maintenance projects; produce and review plant reports and work orders for accuracy.
