Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Boston is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Water/Wastewater) to design and deliver complex water infrastructure projects, lead multi-disciplinary teams, develop plans and specifications, and ensure high-quality, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of experience in water infrastructure.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across locations.
• Strong vendor and client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Independently create detailed designs, plans, specifications for water facilities and infrastructure projects
• Manage and coordinate multi-discipline teams from separate locations to produce high level, high quality deliverables
• Guide the planning and execution of complex and multi-disciplinary studies, simulations, and plans for water infrastructure projects
• Take responsibility for engineering design, project coordination, specifications, planning, and client interaction
• Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions
• Conduct quality control reviews of deliverables
• Serve as a technical expert in one water systems and water infrastructure
• Serve as a project manager on water projects as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
