Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead water infrastructure projects, functioning as a technical expert and project manager across multi-disciplinary teams. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, strong design skills, and collaboration with clients to deliver high‑quality, compliant deliverables.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years of water infrastructure experience, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with water infrastructure or water-related facilities.
• Professional Engineer license recognized by local licensing board.
• Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for results.
• Strong technical background in water solutions and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently create detailed designs, plans, and specifications for water facilities and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams across locations to deliver high-quality results.
• Guide planning and execution of studies, simulations, and plans for water projects.
• Manage design, scope, and vendor coordination; write engineering specifications; plan work and report preparation.
• Establish quality standards and value engineering solutions; perform quality control reviews.
• Serve as a technical expert in water systems and infrastructure; project management as needed.
