Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Lead Water Engineer to join our Water team in the Richmond, Virginia area. The role leads project teams for stormwater, water, and wastewater infrastructure, including design, planning, and construction aspects.

The successful candidate will work with clients primarily in the Richmond region. The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 10+ years in municipal water/wastewater consulting, PE licensure, and strong communication and technical writing

Qualifications

BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required; MS preferred.
10+ years of water and wastewater engineering consulting experience.
PE licensure required.
Experience coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Experience producing contract documents, drawings and specs.
Client-focused with solutions-oriented approach.
Demonstrated integrity and collaboration in diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Organize and lead teams to pursue stormwater, water, and wastewater opportunities; develop proposals.
Lead engineering design, including hydraulic calculations and specs.
Develop technical reports, studies and memoranda for clients.
Manage projects and resources, budgets, schedules and client invoicing.
Mentor staff and provide professional/technical oversight.
Present project deliverables to clients.
