Job summary

WSC is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform on-site inspections of water and wastewater projects in Torrance, CA, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and permits. You will document activities, generate daily reports, and coordinate with project teams to address issues and risks.

The ideal candidate has experience in construction or inspection, strong communication skills, and knowledge of water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, construction management, or inspection with focus on water/wastewater.
• Deep knowledge of water/wastewater infrastructure design, construction methods, materials, and codes.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• OSHA training and ISO certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of water and wastewater projects for compliance with plans, specs, codes and standards.
• Monitor activities to ensure quality, safety, and permit requirements are met.
• Maintain detailed records of construction activities and deviations; prepare daily reports.
• Provide updates to project managers, engineers, and staff on status and risks.
• Ensure adherence to SWPPP, MMRP, and regulatory requirements; collaborate with teams.
