Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for our South-Central Region Water Business Group in North Texas. You will lead construction management activities for water and wastewater projects, coordinating subcontractors, schedules, and quality control.

The role requires a strong background in construction planning, cost control, and safety, plus experience with project management software. Travel within the region is possible, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in construction planning and management including contracts, change, cost, and safety management.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for subcontractor coordination, scheduling and quality control.
• Prepare the Project Management Plan and Construction Management Plan.
• Develop procedures for contract administration and coordinate with project team.
• Perform procurement scheduling, subcontract scopes, subcontract terms review, constructability and value engineering reviews.
• Administer and manage construction activities and monitor progress against design requirements.
• Coordinate and manage project quality assurance and inspection services.
• Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests and progress reports.
• Review and coordinate submittals and change orders.
• Control project budget and schedule; oversee health and safety program compliance.
