Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join the Water Business Group in Arizona. You will lead subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control, shaping project plans and safety practices.

With a minimum of 10 years in construction planning and management, you will direct cost control, procurement, and document review while guiding field teams. PE/CCM and communication skills are preferred to advance HDR's employee-owned culture and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management across contracts, scheduling, cost, change and safety.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera and Bluebeam.
• Strong people skills and ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor and stakeholders.
• Commitment to an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor coordination, scheduling and quality control.
• Prepare the Project Management Plan and Construction Management Plan.
• Develop procedures for contract administration and safety management with the team.
• Perform procurement activities, including procurement schedules and subcontract scopes.
• Coordinate document management and submittal reviews (shop drawings, pay apps).
• Prepare and negotiate Change Orders and monitor budgets and schedules.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with Health and Safety program.
