Hazen and Sawyer seeks an experienced Senior Architect to lead architectural design across our Northeast Region, supporting water and wastewater clients. The role oversees design quality, technical rigor, and integration within multidisciplinary teams from planning through construction.

You will guide architectural strategy, oversee construction documents, and coordinate with consultants and authorities to ensure compliance and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or BS in Architectural Technology from a U.S. accredited university.
• 15 years of architectural experience with emphasis on detailing and constructability.
• Strong construction administration experience.
• Ability to develop contract documents including drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership of projects and interfacing with clients.
• Familiarity with Revit to oversee project delivery.

Responsabilités

• Lead architectural design from schematic development through construction-ready documents.
• Review, refine, and integrate architectural details for constructability and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, estimating, project management, and field staff to produce integrated designs.
• Coordinate with consultants, AHJs, and code officials for regulatory compliance.
• Conduct existing conditions assessments and prepare design and technical reports for water projects.
• Lead renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic restoration efforts.
• Perform construction administration tasks including submittals, RFIs, site inspections.
• Participate in cost estimating, scheduling, and value engineering.
