Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for California offices (San Francisco, Irvine, or Sacramento). You will lead I&C design, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and support construction and commissioning of water treatment projects.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 10+ years in I&C, and a CA PE license or reciprocity within 18 months. Travel up to moderate levels may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is required; MS preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
• California PE license in Controls Systems or Electrical Engineering or ability to obtain reciprocity within 18 months.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey I&C needs to project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and develop control systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Prepare conceptual reports, technical memorandums, and construction documents including P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate I&C deliverables with process, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Support construction with site inspections, commissioning, and start-up activities.
