Job summary
Kiewit is seeking a Principal Water Engineer to lead municipal water treatment design and optimization across large-scale projects in North America. You will guide multidisciplinary teams and translate advanced treatment concepts into constructible, cost-effective solutions.
The role requires deep expertise in water treatment technologies, extensive project leadership, and the ability to mentor the next generation of water engineers. Some travel is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering.
- 15+ years of process development and detailed design in municipal/industrial water.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
- Ability to travel 20-30% (50% if remote offices are involved).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for Municipal Water treatment design, selecting and sizing treatment technologies.
- Serve as technical authority for process decisions and critical design deliverables.
- Mentor Senior and mid-level engineers within the team.
- Lead proposals and pursuits, shaping technical strategy for major water pursuits.
- Oversee multi-disciplinary design teams and ensure quality across deliverables.
