Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer seeks a water engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our Dallas or Fort Worth office. You will work on water infrastructure projects, including design, distribution systems, and wastewater conveyance, with involvement in client development and project management.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-office collaboration in Texas, and opportunities for professional growth through various training and registration incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• PE license.
• Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in planning, design, or construction of water-related projects.
• Experience preparing conceptual/feasibility studies, development of construction drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, and support of office and field-related construction services.
• Familiarity with engineering and construction management software.
• Capable of supervising staff and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Participation in the evaluation, planning, and design of water, wastewater, stormwater, reuse, and infrastructure projects.
• Participation in a project team from the initial study and conceptual design stages through to the construction of major water related infrastructure projects.
• Fieldwork and site visits from design through construction may be required.
• Project management of a large project or several small projects.
• Client development and management supported by our local offices.
• Planning, organizing, and supervising staff of engineers on projects.
