Job summary

World Resources Institute seeks a Senior Water Data Scientist to lead the measurement and monitoring of how nature-based solutions and green-gray infrastructure affect water security in Latin America and the Caribbean and beyond. You will synthesize hydrology, geospatial analytics, and AI to create scalable, credible assessment methods and data systems.

A hybrid role with offices in Washington, DC or Mexico City, with some travel and collaboration across regional offices.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in environmental science, geographic science, data science or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; PhD strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development of research and analytical approaches measuring water outcomes from NBS and GGI.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration across WRI teams and external partners.
• Develop policy-relevant recommendations for impact measurement and monitoring frameworks.
