Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental/civil engineering, environmental science, hydrology, or related field, or 4 years’ experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of hydrology and water quality modeling and geospatial analysis
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS tools, including geospatial analysis of vector and raster datasets
  • Experience processing and analyzing large data sets
  • Understanding of stormwater management and green infrastructure
  • Proficient technical writing and ability to translate complex findings into graphics
  • Experience using Python or another coding language for automating large geospatial tasks (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Create usable, actionable information through collaborative and innovative engineering and science approaches
  • Contribute to resource planning and design, including policy setting, water management, green infrastructure, scientific research, public education and outreach, and environmental justice/equity
  • Process and analyze hydrologic and other large datasets
  • Apply hydrology, water quality modeling, and geospatial analysis
  • Use ArcGIS for vector and raster dataset analysis and processing
  • Translate complex findings into graphics and technical writing
  • Develop new and useful approaches for delivering well-founded information to clients
